Hand thrown stoneware vase by artist Joyce Ravenwood. This unique piece of pottery was first fired to 2200 degrees then allowed to cool. It was again fired to 1000 degrees then pulled from the kiln and horse hair from her rescue horses was dropped onto the vase. The hair immediatedly turned into carbon and fused itself to the pottery creating the unique patterns you see. This is an unglazed piece of pottery and has a hand rubbed wax coating. Not suitable for liquids or food products. It measures 5" wide x 6" tall.
